What Does The Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer Do?

These days, finding time to workout can be so difficult.  Especially for career people and soccer moms, trying to get to the gym is just not going to happen.  So what options are out there that might help with this problem?  The answer just might be the Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer.  Of course, no product is bulletproof, and we are going to take a look at whether or not this unit is worth your money, or if you should spend it on something else.  Put on your running shoes for this E95 Elliptical review.

Elliptical trainers by nature are a bit more advanced than treadmills.  Treadmills only allow you to run in a straight line and offer little options by way of terrain.  Elliptical trainers were designed to be easier on your knees, more terrain control options for resistance, and better options by way of speed.

The Sole E95 has all of those features, and a little bit more. For instance, it boasts a 30-pound flywheel, which gives it the necessary power that you need for a good workout.  Also, it has wide foot pedals to allow for better ergonomics.  It includes a massive LCD display to let you know how you’re doing.  In the display, it calculates distance, speed, calories burned, etc.  Also, it is designed with fans that can keep you cool while you’re running. There’s nothing like running stationery and not receiving the benefit of the wind, so that is definitely one thing it has going for it!

General Benefits of The Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer

One of the best parts about the Sole E95 is the fact that it adjusts to fit the runner.  The entire design is based around the workout, allowing its user to forget about the machine itself.  Many E95 reviews have said that it is extremely ergonomic in that way.

One of the ways that it fits the runner is that the flywheel uses electromagnet technology in order to produce frictionless resistance.  This allows for a much more comfortable workout.

Also, the span on the pedals is about 20 inches.  This produces enough of a stretch to build muscle and still keep the jarring down.

The Sole E95 runs an extremely quiet motor, which also runs a very quiet fan.  The reason why they did attempt to make this unit whisper was because of another added benefit.  It has an onboard headphone jack, which allows you to comfortably listen to your music while exercising.

More Ergonomic Features

The entire basis of the Sole E95 works around fitting the elliptical trainer to the runner and not visa verse.  One of the best features that many have noted was the fact that its terrain controls can be adjusted right from the swing arms.  This means that you won’t have to stop your workout just so you can interface the LCD screen, and you won’t have to struggle to push buttons while running.

Also, the pedals are very wide, which will allow any size feet to fit comfortably.  This way, the user will not have to worry about foot placement and can concentrate on the workout.

The smooth ride that gives the Sole E95 its trademark feel has very much to do with the joints, the flywheel, and the overall profile of the machine itself.  The machine is not bulky, allowing for more adjustable features.

The adjustments aren’t difficult either.  Most of the adjustments only require the push of a button.

For instance, on the arms themselves, all the user must do is push the up or down arrows while in mid-workout, and the unit can upgrade to forty degrees.  Also, from the other swing arm, the unit can also add resistance much the same way.

The Cons

The cons that come with the product are basically the same ones that many other Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer review postings have noted.

This model does claim to reduce noise greatly, but some have observed that the pedals make far more noise than an elliptical should in its price range.  Also, it has been said that the fan and the speakers are weaker on this particular model.  Last but not least, the assembly of the product seems to be the worst part of all.  If you do decide to buy the Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer, then be prepared to spend an afternoon (maybe even past dinner) setting up the unit.

Some of the other touchy things have been that the unit is not ergonomic enough for smaller or larger users.  The distancing between pedals has been found to be too long in some instances, forcing an unnatural stride.  While it may tout its ergonomics, it has been seen as a bad thing as well.

Another problem that has filtered through the reviews is that the resistance is too gradual.  Some don’t notice a difference until they get very high in the settings.  For a unit of its price, that may be something Sole may want to look into.

The Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer usually retails between $1500 and $2000 – It is actually on sale as this review is being written, so if you are interested, hopefully, you’re in time.

Unfortunately, it is the price that tends to throw a few prospective buyers off, but ultimately, you do get what you pay for.

If you are looking for a solid unit that will last you a very long time than the Sole E95 is a great way to go.  It is no secret that it does have its quirks, but for a unit that gives an excellent workout, it may be well worth the price.  It is not cheap, but it will deliver good value for quite some time to come.
